10 Automation Tools to Improve Social Media Management

As a business owner you are mainly interested in how to maximize your return on investment. For social media marketing, this would mean that you want a return on the time and efforts spent on social media. This is why you need to put social media management in place.

One way of achieving this goal of social media management, is by using social media automation tools.   It is for this reason that I want to share with you an awesome list of social media automation tools that can help you maximize your return on social media.

Ping.fm — You can use this tool to update your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and various other social media sites at the same time. You can also choose to only update one place at a time or different groups depending on your message. This is a free mobile friendly application.

RSS — Combined with Google Reader RSS, Really Simple Syndication, is a very powerful time management tool so that you can read what you want, all on one page. It keeps you from having to move from site to site to read what’s important to you. Plus you can set it up with keywords combined with Google Alerts to monitor what people are saying about you.

Gist — You can have all your contacts in one place no matter what email or social media or network that they’re on. The great thing about Gist is that you can program it to keep track of certain important contacts so that you can monitor them across their social networks and never miss out on making an important connection. It works online and also in your Gmail and Outlook mail.

Selective Tweets – This Facebook application lets you choose which updates to share with Twitter so that you don’t have to share them all.

SocialOomph — This is a service that has a free version and a paid version that helps automate and schedule your social media. You can schedule your tweets, create a bigger Twitter profile and more. You’ll need the professional version to be able to schedule and post to your pages and profiles of Facebook.

Tweet Old Posts — A lot of times we have created blog posts that have very important and “ever green” information that we might want to share more than once on different days. This WordPress.org plug in is an excellent tool for just that.

TwitterFeed –  A tool to feed your blog to twitter, Facebook and more. Using RSS you can essentially do just that via this cloud program. Then, you can track them, get stats, and more all from one spot.

TweetBleep — For $20 per month you can monitor, via email what is being said about you or really any keyword that you want across Twitter.
